Welcome, Deepgroove !

“Simultaneously unrelentingly simple and
ridiculously complex—exactly what you
want from minimal techno in 2009”

Resident Advisor

Over the course of 2009 a cluster of recordings for some of the most influential labels in the world (Cocoon, Rekids, Klang, Harthouse) has seen Deepgroove establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with amongst the legion hordes of globes techno devotees. Their partnership with legendary techno producer Jamie Anderson has led to a steady stream of innovative club destroying moments whilst they have continued to plough their own path through solo remixes and releases.

“With a 100% party attitude and a
keen ear for exactly the right tune
to devastate the dancefloor,
Deepgroove consistently smash it.”
DJ Magazine

Unstoppable rolling techno such as ‘Turbo’ for Cocoon Recordings have supplied suitably heavy ammunition for DJ’s like Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier and Dubfire to tackle their largest festival sets, whilst deeper material like ‘The Clock’ (for Rekids; with it’s subterranean Ben Klock Remix) provide incendiary underground grooves to fire up sweatbox after hours and sleazy night spots the world over.

“Proving that it’s still possible for real
talent to break through, the Deepgroove
boys have made the noughties their own.”

The patronage of some of the worlds most respected flag bearers has led to bookings and a rapidly growing live show which has recently showcased for amongst others Bugged Out and Fabric.

“Book these guys and the only
way you’ll get rid of them
is to find them another party”

DJ Magazine

Deepgroove and Jamie Anderson’s debut artist album “13MACHINES” was released on legendary German imprint Harthouse at the end of 2009, (preceded by another firing 12” EP) allowing this white hot production team to expand the range of their grooves to cover late night burners, peak time club destroying moments and all that lies between.

2010 sees Deepgroove further destroy dancefloors with their chemical, rave inducing beats and red-hot remixes of Crookers & Soulwax, Paul Woolford’s acid workout ‘Pandemonium’, Tiga’s favourite producer, Tomas Andersson and plus their very own special peak-time bomb, ‘Annihilate’ with Remute and Brodinski Remixes.

Welcome, Matt Walsh !

Matt has resided with Turbo Recordings after being seen by Tiga at T-Bar in London. His residencies at Bugged Out! and T Bar have allowed him to tour the world with his trademark sound of Electronic House and Techno through to New Wave, Acid House and Disco.

In production, as well as alone, Matt has been part of the duo Clouded Vision, formed alongside long term studio partner Steve Cook. Their initial remixes on Turbo Recordings, Mute and Process Recordings gave them the success and drive for Matt to set up Clouded Vision Recordings. They have since produced 2 EPs and are currently signing other forthcoming acts. Clouded Vision have received great support from stellar artists including Ivan Smagghe, The Revenge, Tensnake, Erol Akan, Photonz, Tiga, Cosmo Vitelli and Luke Solomon to name a few.

While Clouded Vision brings out the slower tempo and disco aspects of Matt’s style, his peak time tech house sounds produced alongside Hypercolour Records label boss “Alex Jones” have pushed him towards the main slot and late night set in many clubs, where he is seen at his best. Their combined work on remixes for Peaches on XL records has already been played on Radio 1’s Essential Mix and supported by Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford.. Further remixes have followed on Turbo Recordings, Kitsune and Wax:On and again have been played by DJ’s across the globe.

Matt’s first solo productions, characterised as Techno with a propulsive and percussive energy will be available throughout 2010 with an EP on Wax:On’s label, Turbo labelmate Sei A’s label Seinan Recordings and a slew of remixes upcoming on Southern Fried, Marketing, Wax:On, Backyard and Turbo Recordings.
